CAST OF CHARACTERS

Section III: Volume Two, Issues 1-15

In order not to give away too much in discussing the characters, we have divided the character profiles into sections and only discuss the occurrences that take place during that time period. The profiles of the characters (those that have survived, that is) continue in other sections.

Returning Characters

  • Dan— Dan and Joey joined the gang where Donna was but Dan soon left as he felt he wasn’t wanted there. Shot by the leader of the motorcycle gang, Dan is left for dead. However, he was found and taken care of by Katherine's people. When Dan recovers, he is plagued by voices in his head and is compelled to search them out. He found the new Voodoo Queen who wanted to make him the father of a new race, humans who have the abilities to sense and perhaps control the zombies. Under her spell, Dan goes along with her but finally gets free. He left to find the others at the end of volume two.
  • Joe— Joe joined up with the motorcycle gang that was over-run by the zombies. Rescued by Dead-Killer, he helped to rescue Donna after her capture by Bowker. He stayed on with Rand’s people in the underground city.
  • Donna— Donna adjusts to the motorcycle camp and does the best she can. The camp is over-run by zombies and Donna escapes and is brought to the town where she begins to help Katherine out with the medical duties. Captured by Bowker, Donna is rescued by Dead-Killer and Joey and goes back to the Leper city under Rand where she has settled in at the conclusion of the second volume.
  • Deake— Held captive by Jaxson and then later Moloch, Deake is given to King Zombie by Bowker as a pact to stop KZ from attacking the city. Deake is set to open the gates as commanded by the head zombie and gets it open long enough to bring in some new creatures and restore some power to the master Demon Lord. However, the gates close after Dead-Killer shoots him dead. (issue #6)
  • Bowker— Forced to travel with the Vamp, Bowker runs into Reyna on a reconnaissance mission. She offers him a deal to join up with her and Moloch but Bowker isn’t sure if he can trust them. He decides to find out. He kills Vamp…again. Bowker headed up the field work for Moloch and while on a mission to wipe out the Scavengers, a roving gang, he finds Katherine and Donna and brings them back to the city. Dead-Killer believed that Bowker killed Katherine and is killed by the Dead-Killer. (issue 15)
  • Punk & Eddie— the misfit duo hang around Bowker and while searching for a spot to goof off, come across Wolverine, imprisoned in a basement. The bumbling duo --- Punk and EddieFreeing him, the manage to save Moloch and Reyna and allow Moloch to take control. Granted a reprieve from their usual "in trouble" position, Punk and Eddie actually get some missions. When they witness the slaughter of some people by Bowker, they decide they don’t want to be a part of Moloch’s army any more and take off on their own.
  • Moloch— Held prisoner by Jaxson, Moloch is thought to be crippled and is kept drugged up. However, he can actually walk and he manages to stay off the drugs while giving the appearance of taking them. He takes over the city after Jaxson’s death and is rebuilding a civilization.
  • Reyna— Through her manipulations, Reyna helped Moloch gain control of the city. What her goals are beyond that are unclear as Reyna always seems to have some greater power play in contemplation.
  • Percy— Percy is revealed to be the "human" side of the Demon Lord Master and when he connected with the "Amy" force, the Daemon Lord was complete, although weak in power.
  • Wolverine— the slashing crazed killer was imprisoned by Jaxson’s men but freed by Punk and Eddie. He continued his search for zombies to kill.
  • John— John was searching for his son who was lost in a blizzard. When he realized he had no hope of surviving, and with zombies on his trail, John stripped naked to try and freeze to death before eaten by the zombies. He barely felt them tearing him apart.
  • Stacey— Along with Clarence and Kirk, Stacey headed down south to the Caribbean to attempt a new beginning.
  • Kirk— Along with Clarence and Stacey, Kirk headed down south to the Caribbean to attempt a new beginning.
  • Clarence— Along with Kirk and Stacey, Clarence headed down south to the Caribbean to attempt a new beginning.
  • Albert— Leaving the northern wilderness because of the love he had for Shelley which wasn’t to be returned, Albert was found by King Zombie. KZ kept Albert around to record the head zombie’s "chronicles". Albert was led to safety by Rand and consequently, joined up with Rand and the Lepers.
  • Dead-Killer— Serving as protector for Rand’s people as well as the town of Brunston, Dead-Killer rescues Joey and Donna. When Katherine is captured by Bowker, he ventures into the city only to find Katherine dead. He killed Bowker for revenge, even though it was Vamp who killed Katherine.
  • Katherine— Serving as the medical doctor for Brunston, Katherine is kidnapped by Bowker who then rapes her. She is killed by Vamp in a jealous rage. (issue 15)

New Characters Introduced in Volume II

  • Voodoo Queen II— (first appearance Vol. 2, #7)- The daughter of the first Voodoo Queen, she summons up the dead and attempted to wrestle control of the zombies from King Zombie. Nearly succeeding, she had hoped that Dan would father a new race of children with her same power so that the future world could fight off the menace. Dan refused.
  • Darcy— (first appearance Vol. 2 #8) Darcy is a young girl who has an immediate attraction to Joey. She moved to the underground city and was reunited with her family there.
  • Rand(first appearance Vol. 2 #9) Leader of the Lepers, a group of people who were subjected to horrible experimentation by doctors to try and find a cure for the zombie menace, Rand is one of the Lepers. He carries the disease of leprosy that was clinically induced and not contagious.
